Beaver Creek is home to several race teams and events. We host a wide variety of private races: Buddy Werner League, Youth Ski League, USSA, FIS, USCSA, private events for groups and the annual Birds of Prey World Cup.
Beaver Creek is also proud to be the host of the 2015 World Alpine Ski Championships.

Buddy Werner League: January 12, February 2 & February 16
The Buddy Werner League is a group of skiers in grades 2 thru 8 that participate in a recreational ski club. The club is run by volunteer parents that coach athletes in the program. The Buddy Werner League emphasizes all-mountain skiing in age class groups for 7 days during the season, plus 3 race days. The all-day races are held on Bear Trap in January and February.
SSCV USSA GS: January 5 - 6
Bolle Age Class
This event is open to racers ages 14 and under. The three different age groups competing in this event are: U14, U12 and U10. In the U10 division the kids are just getting started in the racing program and it is more of a weekend sport. In the U12 division the athletes are learning to build their racing skills while also building a love for the sport. In the U14 division the athletes are building racing skills through training progression, learning teamwork and sportsmanship while competing in a supportive and friendly environment. All the divisions give the athletes a chance to compete against others of the same age and make friends throughout the State of Colorado.
High School Races: January 4 (EVHS) & January 17 (BMHS)
Beaver Creek Resort is home to the Battle Mountain and Eagle Valley High School ski teams. 15 high school ski teams from all over the state of Colorado come to Beaver Creek to participate in races on EpicMix Racing and Bear Trap. Each team fields up to 10 racers that compete weekly. If the high schools are racing Giant Slalom, the EpicMix Racing course will be closed for the day.
USSA Marriot Rocky/Central U16 Junior Championships: March 3 - 9
This event represents the top racers in the U16 Division from qualifying events throughout the season. The U16 Division is athletes born in the years 1997-1998. These athletes are at the age where they must be prepared in all the aspects of ski racing. They need to be mentally prepared, be physically fit, have the on snow technique and be able to complete the proper tactics in a race course. It is the elite of this age division and is a great event to watch some of the up and coming athletes that could be among our future Olympians. The event is a multi day event with the following schedule:

GS Spectacular: April 6 - 7
This race is a great event that includes all ages of racers. Athlete’s ages range from 9 years old all the way up to collegiate athletes. All the racers compete on the same track, so the younger athletes have a chance to directly compare themselves to older athletes. This race develops drive and determination in our younger ski racers to someday be as fast as their older role models. This event is held on the EpicMix Racing course and Bear Trap, and is an all day event.
