Beaver Creek to Host German Auto Festival Weekend in September 2014
Beaver Creek, Colo. - March 18, 2014 - German car enthusiasts are set for a full weekend of German car shows, test-drives, scenic drives, culinary experiences and rallies in Beaver Creek for the German Auto Festival weekend Sept. 12-14, 2014. German automobile brands will be showcased in Beaver Creek Village to celebrate the engineering, design, quality, history and exclusivity of the German automobile. Visitors to Beaver Creek, German car club members and major German car brands will come together for three days to enjoy the resort's beautiful fall foliage and legendary attention to detail while experiencing the renowned German automobiles and lifestyle.
Beaver Creek's intimate alpine village will be the host for the new and private collection cars. Scenic driving tours on iconic western Colorado roads will take place on Friday, Sept. 12 with scenic drives to Aspen and Steamboat Springs. Participants of the scenic drives will arrive at the destination and enjoy exclusive gourmet lunches, finishing with a loop route back to Beaver Creek.
Saturday's events include the Wettbewerb der Eleganz (Concours d' Elegance) car show and an "all things automotive" expo. The judged competitive car show will recognize winners in each category based on brand, year and class. An overall Grand Champion will be selected across all brands and awarded at the German American Chamber of Commerce's (GACC) Gala and Awards Reception Saturday evening. Test-drives will be available to the public all weekend through automobile dealerships. Additional event elements featured throughout the weekend include German fashion, beer, wine and culinary offerings. The Beaver Creek German Auto Festival brings the new, modern European style to festival goers. The weekend wraps up in the traditional style on Sunday with a drive to Vail for a VIP party at the town's annual Oktoberfest.

Beaver Creek's German Auto Festival is set to become North America's premier all-German auto festival and rally, with support provided by The German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC).
