 Rachelle Ferrell - Performing Friday!
Rachelle  Her voice is pure tonal nourishment to anyone who hears her six octave range, from its depths to its upper whistle. She was discovered singing back-up for eternally sultry Phyllis Hyman, but she debuted as a solo artist in 1992 with self-penned, Rachelle Farrell. Farrell quickly demanded her own space in U.S. R&B, pop, gospel, classical, and jazz. It’s that last category, that jazzy power that Rachelle pulls from cavernous places within and feeds her audiences to the brim, with lyrics and vocals, every single time.

 Cody ChesnuTT - Performing Saturday!
Cody  Universally hailed as a thrilling new figure in music for his edgy 2002, lo-fi debut, The Headphone Masterpiece, Cody ChesnuTT is a soul troubadour whose frank, socially conscious ruminations on life continue to challenge popular notions of what modern soul music can look and sound like. He’s a raw storyteller for the people wearing a guitar and a toothpick-chewing smirk; he’s a wide-eyed, intense soul brother in a crazy-fly get-up, singing about bedraggled love in the land of Lost Angeles; he’s all of that, but wiser now, while still wearing poetic license on his skin like a battle scar..

 Melanie Fiona - Performing Saturday!
Melanie  Growing up in a music-filled house in inner city Toronto, Melanie Fiona knew from the very beginning that music is what moves her. The Grammy-nominated soulstress wrote her own songs for years, and she evinces the charmed life of an immensely gifted vocalist in forward motion. Fiona's debut album The Bridgewas released in 2009, and its debut single "Give It to Me Right" peaked at number 20 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart. In 2010, she earned a nod in the Best Female R&B Vocal Performance category for her song "It Kills Me." She got another nod, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, in 2011 for "Wake Up! Everybody," performed with conscious rapper Common. Her collaboration with Cee Lo Green, "Fool for You," finally nabbed the win, twice in 2012, for Best Traditional R&B performance and best R&B Song. She was nominated again in 2013 for Best Traditional R&B Performance, with her song "Wrong Side of a Love Song." Melanie ranks among the best with a voice to treasure.

 Raheem DeVaughn - Performing Saturday!
Raheem  Apples and trees prove to be really close in the family of three-time Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Raheem DeVaughn. His father, renowned jazz musician Abdul Wadud, set the stage for his son’s love of soulful sounds. To introduce himself to the world, DeVaughn pounded the streets, and set up in back corners of his shows, to sell indie recordings before he signed with Jive Records and dropped The Love Experience. The crooner broke through commercially with 2008’s Love Behind the Melody, which reached #1 on the Top 10 R&B Hip-Hop Albums Chart, and earned him two Grammy nominations: Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for "Woman," and Best R&B Song for "Customer." His third nod was for Best R&B Album of the Year with his second studio release, The Love & War Masterpeace. Although he’s become one of modern soul’s most beloved artists, DeVaughn continues to grind, releasing more than 15 mixtapes over the past 9 years.

Kenya Johnson and Kloud 9 - Performing Friday!
Kenya  Kenya delivers soothing vocals accompanied by contemporary grooves. Her music has been featured in the Top 10 UK Soul Chart and on the Top 30 Soul Independent Artists in Chicago by ReverbNation.com. Raised in Denver, Colorado, Kenya has been singing since the age of 8. Throughout her adolescence, she was active in citywide choirs, jazz bands, show choirs, musical theater, jazz ensembles and gospel choirs. At Howard University, Kenya performed in the renowned Howard Gospel Choir, which opened for artists such as Yolanda Adams and Bebe & Cece Winans. Like many facing adulthood, Kenya tried her hand at putting practicality over passion and spent years working in her degree field, physical therapy. But her heart called her home. She took a massive leap of faith and came back to music.

 Raul Midón - Performing Friday!
Raul  Singer-songwriter and guitarist Raul Midón has earned renown as one of music's most distinctive voices. He is "a one-man band who turns a guitar into an orchestra and his voice into a chorus." Midón has collaborated with such heroes as Herbie Hancock and Stevie Wonder, along with contributing to recordings by Jason Mraz, Queen Latifah and Snoop Dogg and the soundtrack to Spike Lee's She Hate Me. The New Mexico native, blind since birth, has released seven albums since 1999, including the hit studio productions State of Mind, A World Within a World, and Synthesis. Midón's most recent release is the captivating CD/DVDInvisible Chains - Live from NYC. Attuned listeners can hear the inspirations of Donny Hathaway and Richie Havens in his work, as well as Sting and Paul Simon.

Quincy Avenue Rhythm Band - Performing Saturday!
Quincy  When a group of young musicians share their love of music, the legends come back to life. Ranging from Dr. John to Prince, Otis Redding to Sly and the Family Stone, the Quincy Avenue Rhythm Band plays the classics with enthusiasm and attitude. Along with passion, these Kent, Denver students also have the credentials of a serious group of musicians. Not only have individual members received recognition on both the state and national levels, but the band was named the Best High School Blues/Pop/Rock Group in the country by Downbeat Magazine, the "bible" of soul and jazz, in 2006, 2009, 2010, 2012, and again in 2014!
