The road to Vancouver 2010 runs straight through Beaver Creek. The countdown is underway for the only stop in the United States on the men’s alpine World Cup circuit. The Audi Birds of Prey World Cup takes place in Beaver Creek Dec. 4-6, 2009 providing US fans with the best preview of Olympic contenders on their home turf. The race includes a Super Combined on Friday, the premier event Men’s Downhill event on Saturday, followed by a Giant Slalom on Sunday. Olympic gold medalist Ted Ligety leads the charge along with World Cup winners Bode Miller making his comeback, and Marco Sullivan and Steve Nyman who have found success at Beaver Creek. The best part is the event is free and there are a variety of activitiesThis free spectator event is fun for the whole family.
