The Heart of Winter at Beaver Creek

January 17 - February 16, 2017

Snow lovers who dream of balancing fresh tracks with indulgence revel in the Heart of Winter

For a month every winter, Beaver Creek’s legendary slopes become a high-alpine haven for culinary inclined skiers and riders from around the globe. This special time is punctuated by fantastic snow conditions and the luxurious feeling of enjoying even more of the mountain to yourself—plus gourmet events and elegant opportunities that give you the chance to enjoy our resort in exciting new ways.

Our signature food-inspired event is Winter Culinary Weekend, January 19–22. Highlights of this gourmet celebration include interactive cooking demos, wine pairing dinners and of course, plenty of time for phenomenal skiing. Partake in one-of-a-kind tastings from world-renowned guest chefs as well as local Beaver Creek talent. And be sure to head out for fun on-mountain events like our Snowshoe & Gourmet Lunch and the popular Ski.Eat.Ski event which gives skiers the chance to hit the slopes before a luxurious midday meal.

Or venture to another of our high-alpine culinary treasures: Allie’s Cabin Wine Dinners offer an intimate, on-mountain dining experience like no other. Board an open-air sleigh after the mountain has closed for the day, winding through iconic aspens under warm blankets, and stars, to this gourmet enclave for an exquisite wine pairing dinner perched above Beaver Creek village. Perfect for celebrating a love of good food, and each other, you can reserve this special excursion for a Valentine’s Day dinner to remember. Or settle in every Thursday night for a special final course as the Thursday Night Lights fireworks blast off from the village, blanketing the sky in an extra dose of twinkly lights for an even more spectacular dining experience.

Or, take your Beaver Creek experience one step higher. 9,500 feet to be exact. Trapper’s Cabin is our ultra-luxurious, private, on-mountain lodge accessed by snowcatThis quaint yet opulent private home places your family front and center on our world-class slopeswith ski trails waiting right outside your door. Enjoy the culinary expertise of your very own private chef ready and waiting to craft delicious meals. To top it off, a personal concierge will coordinate your ski rentals, dining reservations, snow-cat rides to and from restaurants, and even fully stock the fridge prior to your arrival. It’s a seamless lodging experience that offers you the opportunity to stay at the true height of luxury.

And if a dose of culture is what you’re after, plan for an evening at our world-famous Vilar Performing Arts Center, Beaver Creek’s signature ski-in, ski-out theater for the arts. An intimate theater inspired by the Littman’s Kunstler Theater in Munich, the Vilar Performing Arts Center’s grandeur is unparalleled—with breathtaking architectural design and the highest quality finish work and acoustics. A year-round schedule of theater, music, comedy, dance, and family performances grace Beaver Creek and its guests with renowned performers on par with programming at sophisticated venues in the largest, most cosmopolitan cities around the world. Tucked within Beaver Creek’s alpine village, an escalator ride transports you from the snow to a show.

All of these lavish opportunities and culinary experiences pair well with the typically exceptional snow conditions of these mid-winter months. We invite you to work up an appetite on our world-class terrain and refuel in truly gourmet ways during this decadent time of year, meant for indulging in the good life in every way.
