Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek serves hot chocolate chip cookies everyday at 3 pm

Helmut Fricker

Beaver Creek’s jolly, alpenhorn blowing, lederhosen wearing mascot has been entertaining all of us since the mountain opened in 1980. Meet the legend himself in the Village Plaza throughout the winter.

Not Familiar with Our Mountain

Mountain Welcome Tours are available daily for intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders that want to explore and learn the mountain. Guests should meet at the top of the Centennial Express Lift at 10 a.m. for the complimentary two hour tour.

The Best Kept Luxury Ski Resort Secret In North America

Visiting a ski resort should be a one-of-a-kind experience.

From the moment you step off the plane to the minute you drop your last bag in the airport parking lot before the drive home, everything should be perfect.

After all, you’re not going skiing because you feel like roughing it.  No, skiing should be more like a five-star hotel with steep and deep in the backyard.

And if it’s going to be five-star, it should also feel exclusive rather than just have an exclusive price tag with a lot of crowds attached.

That’s why we think you’ll find Beaver Creek to be that perfect combination of exclusive experience with all of the amenities and creature comforts you expect from a great ski vacation.

The good news for you is that Beaver Creek is one of the best-kept luxury ski resort experiences in all of North America.  The amenities are all here.  The crush of humanity is not.

That means a ski trip here in the Central Rockies will be exactly as a five-star ski vacation should be: relaxed, but with a level of service and comfort that might remind you of some of the best-known ski destinations in the world.

The Resort

Beaver Creek is tucked away from view in a beautiful, intimate, and classic Colorado setting less than an hour from Eagle Airport. There are views galore and plenty to enjoy in this, one of the most secluded resorts accessible from Interstate 70.

The proximity of I-70 (but not too close!) also means there’s convenient access from Denver.

The resort features 1,832 skiable acres serviced by 25 lifts. With 325 inches of snowfall every year, every one of those acres is a pristine winter playground with lots of steep and deep to go around.
Great terrain and snow is one of the reasons why Beaver Creek was selected as a host site for the 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships.

Just as Beaver Creek prides itself on world-class skiing, the resort villages pride themselves on a world-class experience from beginning to end. Activities include snow tubing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing, a marmot maze for the kids, and the Beaver Creek exclusive special: fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies served daily at the base of the Centennial Express Chairlift!

Beaver Creek’s stature as a luxury ski resort wouldn’t be complete without best-of-the-best accommodations, and we’re confident you’ll find the perfect fit among these seven Platinum-level properties:

The Osprey. This Rock Resort property is the closest hotel to a chairlift in North America, so if accessibility is a key component of your ideal luxury ski vacation, then here’s a perfect fit. Each of the 47 rooms at the Osprey features a casual elegance that is at once spacious and comfortable, and each of the amenities at this property add to an atmosphere of relaxing sophistication.

Bachelor Ridge Road. If you’re looking for big accommodations in a perfect spot with incredible views, then this is the place. Seven bedrooms, ski-in/ski-out, gourmet kitchen, and hot tub are all you need to enjoy the perfect stay.

Park Hyatt Resort & Spa. Conde Nast and Travel + Leisure have rated this resort location among the best of the best. Need we say more?

Riverbend Residence. Find six bedrooms in a prestigious gated community in Arrowhead village. It just doesn’t get much better than this.

The Westin Riverfront Resort. Views, access, and the 5 star luxury you’d expect from a Westin property all make the Riverfront Resort a wonderful place to stay indeed.

The Ritz-Carlton. This resort, located in Bachelor Gulch, is nestled against the base of Beaver Creek Mountain, which means all the amenities and luxury you’re looking for in a Ritz property also have ski-in, ski-out accessibility.

Oh, the dining. Beaver Creek’s top restaurants are a perfect combination of unique yet comfortable atmosphere and absolutely exquisite cuisine from some nationally recognized chefs. There are many choices, but perhaps the best-known options are the two Cabins:

Zach’s Cabin. American cuisine with a Pacific flavor, this elegant restaurant sits high above Bachelor Gulch, and we can assure you the views and the food will make the perfect end to a sleigh ride trip.

Beano’s Cabin. Accessible only by sleigh in the wintertime, dinner at Beano’s is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Enjoy unbelievable cuisine set against a secluded alpine backdrop. It really doesn’t get much better than this.

There are also plenty of top-notch dining options in the three Beaver Creek villages, and more options at many of our Platinum-level lodging locations. No matter where you choose to enjoy a nice meal after a premium day on the slopes, rest assured that Beaver Creek has something for you.

There are three to choose from, and all three feature some great amenities.

Beaver Creek Village

The heart of this resort, and that means you can literally ski right into the heart of the action. All accommodations here are ski in, ski out. The village itself is quaint and full of great shopping, art galleries, and a variety of bars and restaurants. There’s also an ice rink!

Bachelor Gulch

Home to the Ritz-Carlton and a wide variety of luxury vacation rentals, Bachelor Gulch is the perfect backdrop to a relaxing, amenity-laden stay with lots of epic skiing and riding thrown in. Transportation to the other villages is extremely easy, which means you can get out and about quickly and conveniently, or stay in, sit back, and relax.

Arrowhead Village

With distinctive Colorado architecture and the Broken Arrow restaurant at its heart, Arrowhead Village is the perfect place to stay when you’re looking for great access to good skiing from a distinctly Western village.
