Tough Mudder!

Are you tough enough for TOUGH MUDDER?

Probably the Toughest Event on the Planet, Tough Mudder returns to Beaver Creek for another year June 15-16, 2013. This 11-mile obstacle course includes 20 military-style obstacles, including ice cold plunges, 8 foot walls, barbed-wire crawls, 100 foot long mud pits, and electroshock.

ABOUT

Designed by British Special Forces, Beaver Creek welcomes Tough Mudder for the second year as arguably the toughest mud run out there and to be a true test of all-around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. Truly, not everyone will complete the course, but those who do will be welcomed across the finish line with a free beer and entrance to the Dos Equis Post Party where teams can recount the challenges of the course as they enjoy live music, food and drinks.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Tough Mudder is seeking volunteers to assist with a variety of duties during the event. Volunteers will receive a complimentary spectator ticket, staff t-shirt, lunch and if requested; a discounted event entry to participate in the Sunday' here in Beaver Creek or another event in the future. Visit www.toughmudder.com/volunteers/ to sign up.

WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT

Tough Mudder offers discounted entry for those who pledge to raise money for the official charity partner, the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that supports injured servicemen and servicewomen. To date, Mudders have raised over $2.8 million for Wounded Warriors. These funds provide combat stress recovery programs, adaptive sports programs and benefits counseling and employment services that aid in these brave Americans’ transition to civilian life.

SHOE DONATIONS

Shoe bins will be available to participants who wish to donate their shoes. Look for designated bins in the village area.

REGISTRATION

Registration opens at 7:00am in Beaver Creek Village at Centennial Station. Participants will be directed uphill via the sidewalk to registration when they get off the bus. Tough Mudder handles all event registration.

MEDICAL TENTS

The Strawberry Park Medical Facility is closed for the summer. Participants requiring medical attention will be transported from the onsite medical tent to Avon Urgent Care. Minor injuries (cuts and abrasions) will receive care at a tent near the finish area. More serious injuries will be treated at a larger tent towards Buckboard pump house and transported as necessary.

RESTROOMS

Public restrooms will be available at One Beaver Creek Place, Market Square (behind the ice rink), and McCoy’s patio. Portable restrooms will be located in the Dos Equis Post Party area next to Centennial Express Lift and at the starting line. Porta potties and restrooms are available at the top of both operating lifts. Porta potties will also be set up in the lower parking lots.

LOST & FOUND

During the event weekend, all lost and found items should be turned in to the Tough Mudder registration area near McCoy’s. Following the weekend, all items will be delivered to the Beaver Creek Information Center located in Beaver Creek Village. Inquiries for lost items should be directed to the Beaver Creek Information Center at (970) 754-4636 following the event weekend.

WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT

Tough Mudder encourages event participants to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project by providing a $25 refund to anyone who raises $150 or more for this organization. For non-participants, Wounded Warrior donations will be accepted in the post party area and interested guests should inquire in that area.

SHOE DONATIONS

Shoe bins will be available to all participants who wish to donate their shoes after the race.  Look for designated bins in the village area.
