RODEO EVENTS
Ranch Saddle Bronc Riding
Ranch Saddle is an iconic Rodeo staple - 8 seconds of vicious riding, unless, of course, the bronc wins! The rider can be disqualified for many infractions including: pulling leather (holding onto the saddle), changing hands on the rein, wrapping the rein around his hand or losing a stirrup. The horse must be saddled exactly as it would be for ranch work. No rodeo saddles here!
Team Roping
Two cowboys, a header and a heeler work together to catch a steer as fast as possible, earning points for their skill and speed.
Barrel Racing
Elegant riding and precise timing are the keys to winning this intense competition which consists of sprinting into the arena and tightly turning a cloverleaf pattern around three barrels.
Bull Riding
In this dangerous event, bull riders must overcome 2,000 lbs of angry animal angst for 8 exciting seconds. A loose rope and the cowboy’s one-handed steely grip are all that hold the rider to the beast.
