Colorado Family Vacation & Ski Trips

Family enjoys a ski day at Beaver Creek

The Comprehensive Guide to Booking a Beaver Creek Family Ski Vacation

When it comes to taking a ski vacation with the entire family, Beaver Creek is tops. Our staff goes to great lengths to make certain that your entire family, from ages five to 95, have a splendid time while they’re visiting our resort.

With that said, how can you craft the perfect family ski vacation at Beaver Creek?

Follow this guide for some helpful insider tips to making your vacation one for the record books.

Fly directly into Eagle County and ski our perfectly groomed trails for free all day.

It’s a hassle and a half to wrangle your family into a shuttle or rental car from DIA and then make the two to three hour drive to Beaver Creek.

Take a smaller flight directly into the Eagle County Airport (for both Beaver Creek and Vail) instead and save time and stress.

Let your children work off pent up energy from being on a plane all morning and give your body a warm up for the unforgettable ski days you have ahead of you.

Opt for Ski in/Ski out and slopeside vacation rentals.

Trust us when we say that Beaver Creek Mountain will let you push yourself as far as you want to go. We have some of the most challenging terrain in Colorado, so when you and your family are done skiing for the day, the last thing you’re going to want to do is spend 30 minutes on a shuttle.

A ski-in, ski-out condo will get you out of the cold and into warm comfort in a matter of minutes, which is the way every ski day should end. In our Beaver Creek lodging finder make an initial selection based on location or lodging class, then filter the results on the left hand side by "Distance to Lift". Easy!

Get friendly with our Ski School Ambassadors.

We believe that a memorable family ski vacation encompasses more than the mountain and our Ambassadors are a testament to that belief. Will they help you take your skiing to the next level?

Without a doubt.

They are also available to help take your entire vacation to the next level, from hosting our scenic women’s ski tours to making dining and ski school reservations for the whole gang. Our Ambassadors are a fount of insider knowledge both on the mountain and off.

Give your teen a break.

Yes, it’s a family vacation, but everyone will want a break from all that wholesome family fun. That’s where our unique “Beaver Creek loves teens too” program shines.

We offer three exciting evening activities designed specifically for teens that last about three hours, which is just enough time for you and your better half to enjoy a romantic dinner for two at one of our top-rated gourmet restaurants.

We love hosting your whole family at Beaver Creek and we think it shows!

From our specially designed kids and teens activities to our fun and challenging runs for skiers of any skill level, our staff works tirelessly to make sure that everyone in your group ends each day with a smile on their face.

Beaver Creek offers the amenity of quality time. From the village plaza where kids can run safe and free, to the wild ride of our tubing hill and the warm chocolate chip cookies greeting them off the last lift. We value your family’s experience down to the last detail. That’s why we’ve created these special programs just for you and your family – best yet, they’re free.

Helmut Fricker

Beaver Creek’s jolly, alpenhorn blowing, lederhosen wearing mascot has been entertaining all of us since the mountain opened in 1980. Meet the legend himself in Beaver Creek Village throughout the winter.
