Hike-ology

Enjoying a hike in Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek's Hike-ology program is designed to introduce youngsters to the environment that surrounds them. Children and parents are invited to pick up a learning brochure, available in the Summer Adventure Center at the top of the second escalator, to take with them and fill in as they hike.

Location: In the Beaver Creek Hiking Center in the Summer Adventure Center
Hours: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily, mid-June through September

The Hike-ology program consists of 4 trails:

The Discovery Loop Trail where children can learn about native Colorado wildlife, and the history of the area.

The Creekside Loop Trail which is conveniently located just outside the Adventure Center, allows hikers and children to learn about the area and history of Beaver Creek.

The Spruce Saddle Loop Trail allows hikers to match the indigenous plants and animals they come across with their names in a fun mix-n-match game in their brochure.

The Five Senses Trail where children are encouraged to explore the flora and fauna around them with their hands, eyes, ears, and nose.

Be sure to keep an eye open for marmots, foxes, hawks, elk, deer, and more!
