Adaptive Skiing and Snowboarding Lessons


 •  We provide the most advanced and personalized adaptive ski instruction to the adaptive
       guest at a discounted rate.

 •  We assess all individual needs prior to arrival to ensure that the correct
       equipment is available.

 •  We provide experienced adaptive ski instructors for one-on-one private instruction.

Adaptive skiing applies to ski/snowboard lessons for individuals with special needs. It's about adapting the ski equipment for each person's unique needs and adapting the instruction as well. 

The Beaver Creek Adaptive program is recognized as a leader in providing first-class instruction and training to people of all disabilities, both physical and cognitive. We provide instruction in alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing. Rental equipment is based on availability (usually reserved with the lesson.)

Ski & Snowboard School Adaptive Private Lessons
  • Adaptive full day lesson (9:00am-3:30pm)
  • Adaptive half day lesson (9:00am-12:00pm OR 12:45pm-3:45pm)

  • 3 Day First Time Series

Adaptive Assistant Program 
Beaver Creek can provide trained instructors to assist the more experienced disabled skiers. The Adaptive Assistant will help with adaptive equipment, chairlift loading and integration into children's ski school group lessons. Please note this service should not be utilized in place of a ski lesson or a personal aid. We require a minimum of 48 hours advance notification if you are requesting an Adaptive Assistant.

Adaptive Ski Pass 
Vail Resorts offers an Adaptive Ski Pass to people with permanent disabilities at a significantly discounted price. Purchasers of the five-resort season pass are eligible to purchase one discounted companion lift ticket daily. To qualify for an Adaptive Ski Pass an individual must be legally blind, deaf, or have an amputation, physical condition or cognitive disability that requires the use of adaptive equipment or techniques to ski. Foresight Ski Guides 
Foresight is a nonprofit organization that provides ski guides to people who are blind or visually impaired and wish to ski or snowboard with a guide. For more information, call Foresight Ski Guides at (866) 860-0972.
