Mark your calendars. The world’s best ski racers will return to Vail and Beaver Creek February 2-15 of 2015 for the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships. The 2015 World Championships’ competitions will showcase five men’s and five women’s individual races, along with the Nation’s Team event, featuring a parallel Giant Slalom format. Beaver Creek will play host to the men’s and women’s individual medal races, while Vail Mountain’s Golden Peak will be the site of the Nation’s Team event, men’s Slalom and Giant Slalom qualification races, Opening Ceremonies and nightly entertainment.

The Championships are expected to showcase athletes from over 70 nations, along with an onsite media and broadcast entourage of approximately 1,500 members, while an international audience approaching 750 million people will watch the festivities unfold on television. The 2015 World Championships will mark the third time that Vail and Beaver Creek have played host to this prestigious international event, rekindling memories of the extremely successful 1989 and 1999 World Championships.
