Pinot Noir with a Distinct Sense of Place 12:00PM-1:30PM: Visionary Winemaker Jayson Woodbridge always had a desire to make Pinot Noir. In 2006, he contacted the owners of historic Stanly Ranch, in the Carneros appellation of Napa to craft his first Pinot Noir. Woodbridge's first vintage of Cherry Pie Stanly Ranch garnered critical acclaim and was noted as “a wine not to be ignored,” by Robert Parker. The success of the first bottling lead to two additional single vineyard Pinot Noirs – Huckleberry Snodgrass from the Russian River Valley and Rodger’s Creek from the Sonoma Coast. Best of Piedmont 2:30PM-4:00PM:
One hundred years after the creation of the Viberti winery, the family’s connection to their beloved land of Barolo and its fine red wines remains constant. Today, under the direction of Claudio Viberti, the winery produces varietally accurate, elegantly-structured wines with fresh fruit aromas, bold tannins, and vibrant acidity that are approachable upon release, yet reward extensive cellaring.
We invite you to experience the very best of Piedmont with a selection oftheir exquisitely crafted DOCG ‘Buon Padre’ Barolo dating back to 1983 poured from limited release 3L bottles. The event will be capped off with a special tasting of Viberti’s prized single-vineyard Barolo Riserva Bricco Delle Viole 2010 & 2007.
