How to Prepare for Your Lesson

Drop Off and Pick Up Information

Check-in takes place at the Group Lesson Center, located slopeside on the Promenade at Beaver Creek Village between the Haymeadow Express Gondola 1 and the Centennial Express Lift 6.

The check-in process follows the steps below. Note that if you arrive late for a group lesson and cannot complete check-in prior to the lesson start time, we may not be able to accommodate you in a lesson for that day.

Step 1:
Equipment
  • If you or your child are picking up rental gear, arrive 60 minutes early.
  • We strongly recommend that you get fitted for your equipment the day before.
Step 2:
Lift Tickets
  • All lessons require a valid lift ticket or season pass to participate.
  • If needed, you can pick up pre-purchased lift tickets or request a pass reprint at this time.
Step 3:
Lesson Check-In
  • Please check-in at least 30 minutes before your child's lesson start time.
  • Once you have checked-in your child and they have all of their equipment for the day, you will be directed to a lesson start location based on their age to connect them with their instructor.

LESSON AND PICK-UP TIMES:

  • Ages 3-4 Half Day: 9:30am Start | 12pm Pick-Up
  • Ages 3-6 Full Day Half Day: 9:45am Start | 3pm Pick-Up
  • Ages 7-15 Full Day: 9:30am Start | 3:30pm Pick-Up

All ages will be picked up on the snow adjacent to the Group Lesson Ski and Snowboard Center. All pick up security processes must be followed.

  • If you have bundled rental gear with your lesson, you can pick this up at Beaver Creek Sports in Beaver Creek Village.
  • Plan to arrive 60 minutes early for proper fitting.
  • We strongly recommend that you get fitted for your equipment the day before.
Step 2:
Lift Tickets
  • All lessons require a valid lift ticket or season pass to participate.
  • If you have bundled a lift ticket with your lesson, you will receive this at check-in.If needed, you can request a ticket or pass reprint at this time.
Step 3:
Lesson Check-In
  • Please check-in at least 30 minutes before your lesson start time.
  • Group lessons start on snow adjacent to the Powder 8 Café located slopeside on the Promenade.

LESSON TIMES:

  • Full Day: 10:00am - 3:30pm
  • Half Day AM: 10:00am - 12:30pm
  • Full Day PM: 1:00pm - 3:30pm

  • All lessons require a valid lift ticket or season pass to participate.
Step 3:
Lesson Check-In
  • Please check-in at least 10 minutes before your lesson start time at your selected location.
    • Haymeadow - Beginners: Beaver Creek Village at the base of Haymeadow Express Gondola 1
    • Centennial - Intermediate/Advanced Skiers and Riders: Beaver Creek Village at the base of Centennial Express Lift 6.
    • Bachelor Gulch: The Ritz Carlton Outdoor Patio. No first-time or beginner lessons from this location.

LESSON TIMES:

  • Full Day: 9:00am - 3:30pm
  • Half Day AM: 9:00am - 12:00pm
  • Full Day PM: 1:00pm - 4:00pm

What to Expect

  • All group lessons are sorted by sport, age, and ability level.
  • The instructor will determine lesson plans based on the group's ability level and goals.
  • All participants will explore terrain aligned to their ability level while practicing new techniques at their own pace.
  • Lunch is included with Full Day Child Group Lessons only. For all other lessons the instructor will provide breaks for food, water and rest as appropriate.
  • If your child brings snacks, please do not pack any that contain tree nuts.
  • Restroom breaks are built into the day, but all participants are encouraged to use the restroom prior to the lesson start time.

Gear
Guests are welcome to bring their own equipment and boots if already owned. If renting, please arrive an hour prior to your lesson start time to ensure enough time for pick up.

Helmets

A winter sport helmet is required for all lesson participants aged 14 and under, and 18 and under in designated children’s lessons. We strongly encourage helmet use for all ages. Helmets can be included along with a rental order or rented separately.

Clothing & Accessories
Waterproof snow pants and gloves or mittens are strongly recommended to keep you warm and dry. Goggles protect your eyes from the cold air and block UV light.
