What you need to know
WHERE TO GO:
Check-in takes place at the Group Lesson Center, located slopeside on the Promenade at Beaver Creek Village between the Haymeadow Express Gondola 1 and the Centennial Express Lift 6.
WHEN TO ARRIVE:
- Arrive at your lesson's location 30 minutes before to allow time for check-in and meeting your child's instructor.
- If you or your child are picking up rental gear, arrive 60 minutes early.
- If you arrive late for a group lesson and cannot complete check-in prior to the lesson start time, we may not be able to accommodate you in a lesson for that day.
- If you are renting equipment, we strongly recommend that you get fitted for your equipment the day before.
DROPPING OFF YOUR CHILD:
- 3-4 year-olds Half Day: 9:30am drop-off.
- 3-6 year-olds Full Day: 9:30am drop-off.
- 7-15 year-olds Full Day: 9:00am drop-off.
Once you have checked-in your child and they have all of their equipment for the day, you will be directed to a lesson start location based on their age to connect them with their instructor.
PICKING UP YOUR CHILD:
All ages will be picked up on the snow adjacent to the Group Lesson Ski and Snowboard Center.
- 3-4 year-olds Half Day: 12pm pick-up.
- 3-6 year-olds Full Day: 3pm pick-up.
- 7-15 year-olds Full Day: 3:30pm pick-up.
What to Expect
- Groups will be sorted by age and ability.
- Participants will practice new techniques at their own pace and on terrain within their ability.
- Full Day lessons include lunch, with food provided at one of our designated lunch locations.
- The instructor will provide a summary of the lesson and your child's progress at pick-up.
- We will provide adequate rest and bathroom breaks, including drinks and snacks.
- Please ensure your child has eaten, is hydrated, and has used the restroom prior to starting their lesson. All students must be potty trained.

- If you have bundled a lift ticket with your lesson, you will receive this at check-in.
- If you have bundled rental gear with your lesson, you can pick this up at Beaver Creek Sports in Beaver Creek Village.
- Group lessons start on snow adjacent to the Powder 8 Café located slopeside on the Promenade.
WHEN TO ARRIVE:
- Full Day: 10:00am
- Half Day AM: 10:00am
- Half Day PM: 1:00pm

What to Expect
- Groups will be sorted by skill level, experience, and individual goals on terrain they are comfortable skiing/riding.
- You will have fun exploring more of the mountain by practicing new techniques at your own pace.
- Full Day lessons do not include lunch. Breaks will be provided throughout the lesson.

- Beaver Creek Village – Beginners: The base of Haymeadow Express Gondola 1.
- Beaver Creek Village – Intermediate/Advanced Skiers/Riders: The base of Centennial Express Lift 6.
- Bachelor Gulch: The Ritz Carlton Outdoor Patio. No first-time or beginner lessons from this location.
- Want to see a Private Lesson representative in person? Come and see us at the Private Lesson Center located in Beaver Creek Village on the Promenade next to Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea CO.

What to Expect
- Private Lesson experiences will be catered to your individual needs and goals for the day.
- Our world-class instructors will provide guidance on skill development and assist in accessing terrain based on your experience level at your own pace.
- Private lessons do not include lunch. Our instructors will provide opportunities for you and your family to eat lunch (full day lessons) and have rest breaks throughout the day.
What You Need
Your comfort and safety is our number one priority, so review the following items to ensure you are fully equipped for your ski or snowboard lesson.
All guests must have a pass or a lift ticket to participate in a lesson. Best pricing is available online, in advance.
A winter sport helmet is required for all lesson participants aged 14 and under, and 18 and under in designated children’s lessons. We strongly encourage helmet use for all ages. Helmets can be included along with a rental order or rented separately.
