If you see a drone, please let us know! This helps us maximize safety and privacy for both our guests and employees.
 
Contact Dispatch at (970) 754-5848, noting (if known):
  • Whether or not the drone is airborne
  • Direction or area of flight
  • Location last seen (including markers, tower numbers, etc.)
  • Whether drone is near a chairlift, gondola, or other critical infrastructure

But drones aren’t just a safety issue—they’re also a privacy concern! We do not condone the unauthorized filming of any guest on our property.

No.The unauthorized use of a drone, model aircraft, or any unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on or over any Vail-owned or -operated property is banned, regardless of whether the property is on skiable terrain or in the base area.

No.  Where the Resort is operating its ski area on USFS land, the drone ban still applies.

Violating this policy in any way may involve suspension of your skiing or snowboarding privileges, the revocation of your season pass, or both. Violators will be liable for any damages, including but not limited to, trespassing, physical or personal injuries, property damage, damages for violations of privacy, regulatory fines and legal fees. 

Mountain employees will be dispatched to enforce the drone policy. In addition, local law enforcement may be dispatched and/or contacted to enforce the policy.
